Our Story
The Inspire Me Project NYC was founded to address the unique challenges faced by underprivileged schoolgirls, vulnerable communities, and immigrant veterans in the five boroughs and Africa. We believe that every individual, whether a young person or a veteran, deserves access to mentorship, nutritious food, and personal development resources to succeed in life.
What began as a local initiative in New York City has now grown to support communities across continents. Through our programs, we strive to dismantle barriers to success and provide every individual with the tools to achieve their full potential, creating a world where no one is left behind.

The Inspire Me Scholarship Initiative
The Inspire Me Scholarship aims to help schoolgirls in Africa, recognizing that many young girls are high achieving individuals who simply need help getting a quality education. Girls need to have barriers to their education removed or at least minimized but a great majority of them are denied the life-changing opportunity for education for a variety of reasons, poverty being one of a complex set of factors.
Our program will focus on students who have financial or personal hardships that are obstacles to their education. Scholarships may be awarded to students who show academic promise. In other cases, a scholarship may be awarded to students who excel in a sport and demonstrate the potential to achieve similar excellence in their academic pursuits.
In its initial phases, our scholarship program will focus on funding young girls at the elementary school level. Our efforts will focus on students in Chad, in Central Africa. On a case-by-case basis, a scholarship could be a one-time award to a student for their elementary curriculum or it could be awarded as part of an ongoing program that cycles each year throughout the elementary school years.
Inspire Me Scholarship Selection Process
The selection process for the Inspire Me Scholarship program takes into account the financial and social barriers to education that are faced by young Africans. We examine both the financial need and academic potential of our applicants and award our scholarships accordingly.
